New MexIco’s woman-owned business of the year

I had the privilege of standing alongside some remarkable business owners, with my ever-supportive husband by my side. A year ago, if you had told me I would win the Woman-Owned Business of the year Award, I would have burst into laughter. I remember those tearful, anxiety-filled filled uncertain days when I took the leap into this journey, constantly questioning if I was making the right choice for my family and myself. Owning my own studio was a HUGE leap for me!

This past year has been an extraordinary rollercoaster ride, filled with highs, and lows. and lots of learning. And as I reflect on it, I can't help but be filled with excitement about what the future holds for Diosa Boudoir. If my 17-year-old self could see me now, she'd hardly believe it.

The first people I messaged last night were my boys. Everything I've done, and continue to do, is for them. Even though they are all grown up, I want to show them that fear should never hold you back, that you should chase your dreams with unwavering determination. I wanted to be the kind of mother they could look up to, a strong woman they'd forever be proud of. It took me a bit longer than I'd hoped to follow my dreams, but I'm finally here, living proof that even a teen mom who was told she'd be just another statistic can achieve incredible things.
