THE WHY: I want to encourage other women to embrace and own their stories. As a survivor of an abusive marriage and childhood bullying, I faced many challenges early on in life. Becoming a mother at a young age only added to the pressure, as I was repeatedly told that being a mother meant giving up on my dreams. However, in 2009, the reality of my situation hit me hard as I found myself a stay-at-home mom with no career to fall back on. I picked up a camera and began pursuing my passion for photography. It was a small step in the right direction, but it allowed me to take control of my own story and realize that I was capable of much more than I had ever given myself credit for. After years of working as a wedding photographer, I discovered my love for boudoir photography and knew that it was where my heart truly belonged.Through hard work and dedication, I have built a successful career as a professional photographer. For the past 13 years, I have been a published wedding photographer and a full-time published boudoir photographer for the last decade. I am also a mentor and educator for photographers across the country, sharing my knowledge and experience with others who share my passion.Above all, I have learned the importance of owning our stories and not letting our past define our future. Through my work, I have had the privilege of photographing thousands of women, capturing their beauty, and empowering them to embrace their unique stories and strengths. Samanthia
Hair & Makeup Artist
Samanthia an Oklahoma native, found her passion for makeup artistry early on, starting with friends and family after high school. Balancing motherhood, a full-time medical career, and freelancing, she honed her skills, eventually expanding to bookings for weddings. During the pandemic, she pursued certification at Southwest Make-Up Institute, graduating in June 2021 with expertise in beauty, special effects, and film makeup. Partnering with photographers, production companies, and bridal parties, Samanthia now joyfully shares her artistry, transforming her passion into a fulfilling career.
